My Life Unfolds Magnificently

God is all there is.  In God I live, move, and have my being for I am connected to Divine Source.  I am one with the love and heart of God.

My life unfolds magnificently and expands beautifully. I claim greater bounty and more joy in all aspects of my life.  I recognize I am a spiritual being connected at all times to the Infinite.  I am also a physical being, full of appreciation for all of the delights my humanity offers.  I touch, taste, smell, see, and hear with the senses of the Divine that operate in, as, and through me.  I continuously rejoice in the beauty and perfection of all the good presented to me.

With gratitude for this thing called life, I release my word and all my experiences to the Mind of God.  My life is a gift, and I am deeply blessed.  And so it is. Amen

“THE HILL WE CLIMB”
A Poem given by Ms. Amanda Gorman,
Youth National Poet Laureate, at the Inauguration of President Joseph Biden

January 20, 2021

Mr. President, Dr. Biden, Madam Vice President, Mr. Emhoff, Americans, and the world: When day comes, we ask ourselves, 'where can we find light in this never-ending shade, the loss we carry, a sea we must wade?'
We've braved the belly of the beast, we've learned that quiet isn't always peace. And the norms and notions of what just is isn't always justice. And yet the dawn is ours before we knew it, somehow we do it. Somehow we've weathered and witnessed a nation that isn't broken, but simply unfinished.

We, the successors of a country and a time where a skinny Black girl descended from slaves and raised by a single mother can dream of becoming president only to find herself reciting for one.
And yes, we are far from polished, far from pristine, but that doesn't mean we are striving to form a union that is perfect. We are striving to forge our union with purpose. To compose a country committed to all cultures, colors, characters, and conditions of man.

And so we lift our gazes not to what stands between us, but what stands before us. We close the divide, because we know to put our future first, we must first put our differences aside. We lay down our arms so we can reach out our arms to one another. We seek harm to none and harmony for all.

Let the globe, if nothing else, say this is true: that even as we grieved, we grew; that even as we hurt, we hoped; that even as we tired, we tried; that we'll forever be tied together victorious, not because we will never again know defeat but because we will never again sow division.

Scripture tells us to envision that 'everyone shall sit under their own vine and fig tree and no one shall make them afraid.' If we're to live up to our own time, then victory won't lie in the blade but in all the bridges we've made.
That is the promise to glade, the hill we climb if only we dare it, because being American is more than a pride we inherit – it's the past we step into and how we repair it.

We’ve seen a force that would shatter our nation rather than share it, would destroy our country if it meant delaying democracy. And this effort very nearly succeeded. But while democracy can be periodically delayed, it can never be permanently defeated.
In this truth, in this faith we trust for while we have our eyes on the future, history has its eyes on us. This is the era of just redemption we feared at its inception.

We did not feel prepared to be the heirs of such a terrifying hour, but within it we found the power to author a new chapter, to offer hope and laughter to ourselves. So while once we asked, 'how could we possibly prevail over catastrophe,' now we assert: 'how could catastrophe possibly prevail over us?'

We will not march back to what was but move to what shall be: a country that is bruised but whole, benevolent but bold, fierce, and free. We will not be turned around or interrupted by intimidation because we know our enaction and inertia will be the inheritance of the next generation.

Our blunders become their burdens, but one thing is certain: If we merge mercy with might, and might with right, then love becomes our legacy in change, our children’s birthright.

So let us leave behind a country better than the one we were left. With every breath from my bronze-pounded chest, we will raise this wounded world into a wondrous one. We will rise from the gold-limbed hills of the west, we will rise from the winds swept north, east where our forefathers first realized revolution. We will rise from the lake-rinsed cities of the midwestern states. We will rise from the sunbaked South. We will rebuild, reconcile, and recover in every known nook of our nation and every corner called our country, our people diverse and beautiful will emerge battered and beautiful.

When day comes, we step out of the shade, aflame and unafraid. The new dawn blooms as we free it. For there is always light if only we’re brave enough to see it, if only we’re brave enough to be it."

Shared with love,
Rev. Maryum Morse

World Peace is Not an Illusion

excerpt from one of Dr. Ernest Holmes’ unpublished works July 1955

So we want peace on Earth? Then let us pray for peace in our own hearts, let us affirm peace in our own minds. Let us live as though peace were the mandate of God because it is. Together let us affirm it and let us encourage others to, no matter what the opposition appears to be, for it is a fundamental reality of God. “Blessed are they that have not seen and yet have believed.”

Let us face the future without fear but let us all also face it intelligently as men and women who are not afraid of anything. There is nothing in the universe to be afraid of. Some things could be avoided. Let us realize if the world is healed of war and brought into peace it won’t have been because guns were bigger and better or more of them. We need them until it does heal itself, but that will come to pass only because somewhere along the line the balance of the scales of eternal truth shall fall on the side of peace.

Let us, you and me, pray for peace and let us make our hearts fit to accept it when it comes. Let us make our intellect and our soul and our will and are feeling ready to receive it and embrace it even before it comes. Let us in the stillness of our own soul go back to that ineffable Presence which is Peace and proclaim It even in the midst of confusion, that Peace which is the Power at the heart of God. And so it is. Amen.

God Is Speaking

Can you hear God speaking?
He’s talking to you now.
If you don’t it’s because you’re not listening
Or you don’t understand how.
The whisper of the wind,
The rustle of the breeze blown leaves,
The patter of the rain,
His voice is all of these.
The smile of a stranger,
The sunshine in the morn,
It’s the twinkle of the stars above
As another babe is born.
The Lord’s language is simplicity,
Not made of nouns and verbs.
It’s in the blooming of rose,
It’s in the growing of the herbs.
His words are in this beauty,
Seen only by the wise.
It’s what we take the time to view,
And what we will recognize.
Our Creator gave us everything,
We need not ask for more.
Give him thanks for what we have,
Give him thanks for what’s in store.

A Summary of Universal Principles

(Peace Exercise)
By Arnold Patent

1. Energy
The basic component of the Universe – energy – occurs in either materialised or unmaterialised form. All that we see and feel is an expression of energy. Energy is synonymous with love. When we resist the flow of energy, or love, we experience discomfort. When we align with the energy flowing around us, we feel joyful and at peace.

2. Infinite Intelligence, or God
Within all energy is an intelligence that is infinite, eternal and purposeful. This Infinite Intelligence, which we sometimes refer to as God, or simply love, is the source of all creative expression and the essential power in the Universe. The way we view our Infinite Intelligence, or God, is precisely the way we experience life. When we perceive God as an unconditionally loving and supportive energy at all times and under all circumstances, we experience our world and everyone in it as totally safe, loving and generous.

3. Oneness
Since the essence of everything is pure loving energy, in the truest sense, we are one. When we feel our connection to our Oneness, we feel the power of whom we really are. Our Oneness – love, is indivisible and thus it is not possible to love one thing or person more than another. Whenever we attempt to withhold love from anyone, we withhold love from everyone, including ourselves. The truth of this principle becomes clear to us as we allow our hearts to open and feel our interconnectedness.

4. Perfection
Our Oneness, God, is perfect and expresses this perfection in infinite ways. As human beings, we are created, and we function perfectly, just the way we are. When someone or something appears to be less than perfect, we know that we have chosen to feel disconnected from our Oneness. We feel connected when our hearts are open. When our hearts are open wide, we see and feel the perfection of everything.

5. Cause and Effect
Contrary to what we have been taught, we are not at the effect of the circumstances in our lives. We are the creators of these circumstances. And we create these circumstances with great purposefulness. This creation happens at two levels. At one level, our Infinite Intelligence puts cause into motion. We create at this level when we are in a state of peacefulness and when we trust our Infinite Intelligence to guide and support us. At another level, cause is set in motion by our thinking minds. What we believe creates our experiences.

6. Free Will
We each have the freedom to choose in each moment. We can choose for ourselves, but not for others. When we allow others to choose for us, we withdraw our trust in ourselves to make choices. Accepting the choice another makes for us is our choice. When we consciously choose to let Infinite Intelligence guide us, our lives unfold in effortless and magnificent ways.

7. Beliefs and Illusions
Our beliefs — both conscious and unconscious — determine our experiences. We can recognize what we believe by noticing the experiences in which we find ourselves. Our beliefs are illusions; they are not real. By quieting our minds and focusing our awareness on what is real — our Oneness – we move beyond our illusory beliefs and experience the inherent perfection of the Universe.

8. Intuition, Feelings and Power
Our Infinite Intelligence communicates to us through our intuition, which we access through our feelings. The more willing we are to feel our feelings, the more able we are to connect with the power that resides in them. The true power in the Universe is a totally peaceful power. It is the power of love, fully, freely and joyfully felt.

9. Mutual Support
Our Universe functions as a mutual support system in which each and every thing in existence relates to and affects every other thing. Every person and circumstance in our lives is there to support us by reflecting back to us the present state of our consciousness. Despite the prevalent belief that we are naturally competitive and adversarial, we always have the choice to create environments that are harmonious, nurturing and mutually supportive. Choosing to join with others who share a commitment to living in mutual support is both self-loving and empowering.

10. The Mirror Principle
Everything that we see and feel is a reflection of the state of our own consciousness. Every person we attract into our lives is showing us some aspect of whom we are. Every feeling expressed by another, mirrors a feeling deep within us. This reflection is a gift, for it allows us to be aware of the beliefs we hold. We then have the choice to reclaim the power we have vested in our beliefs.

11. Nonjudgement and Forgiveness
We have been carefully taught to evaluate and judge virtually everything we experience. However, there is no such thing as right or wrong, good or bad. Everything that occurs is just another event. By judging something, it becomes for us the way we judge it, and it stays that way until we release the judgement. Judging anyone or anything as being less than perfect blocks our ability to respond to the essence of the person or thing and creates discomfort within us that can only be relieved by opening our hearts, first to the judgement and then to the person or thing that we have judged. Forgiveness is the willingness to open the energy locked up in our judgements. Opening our hearts allows forgiveness to expand into unconditional love.

12. Purpose
Everything and every one in the Universe have a purpose for existing. As we each become aware of our life’s purpose, we increase our sense of belonging and see the deeper meaning of our lives. We become aware of our purpose by opening our hearts and feeling our Oneness. When we allow the inspiration of our life’s purpose to fill our being, we find that our lives unfold in inspired, fulfilling ways.

13. Comfort and Discomfort
Our human bodies are magnificent instruments that tell us at all times just how aligned we are with the energy flowing around and through us. Discomfort in our bodies is a signal that we are resisting the flow of energy, or love. The greater the discomfort, the more we know that we are resisting, giving and receiving love. As soon as we notice discomfort, whether physical, mental or emotional, we best support ourselves by focusing our awareness on our feelings, feeling them fully, and then feeling love for them and for ourselves. When we allow love to flow freely, our bodies reflect this free flow of energy.

14. Abundance and Gratitude
Abundance is the natural state of the Universe. It is the free flow of energy, which is literally all around us, in infinite supply, and available to everyone who is open to receive it. If we are experiencing less than total abundance in each and every aspect of our lives, we know we are resisting the natural flow of abundance. We open to abundance by feeling gratitude for all that we presently have.

15. Giving and Receiving
Giving and receiving always occurs in balance. It is important to receive gratefully, as it is to give voluntarily, generously, and with no expectations. Our willingness to keep the energy flowing in and out of our lives supports the energy in expanding. The corollary to the principle of giving and receiving is that we give only to ourselves. Since we are all One, when we are giving to another, we are giving to ourselves.

16. Nonattachment and Freedom
Our perceived need to hold on to anything or anyone demonstrates our belief in shortage. Holding on to anything — people or possessions — blocks the flow of energy around our experience with the person or object and reduces the joy of the experience. It also inhibits new people and new things from coming into our lives. As we open our hearts and expand our trust in the natural abundance of the Universe, we give ourselves and everyone else the gift of freedom.

17. What We Focus On Expands
We are free to focus our attention wherever we choose. We can focus on what we perceive to be problems, or we can remind ourselves that every circumstance is an opportunity to reclaim the power we have vested in our beliefs. Discomfort in our bodies is a signal that we are resisting the flow of energy, or love. The greater the discomfort, the more we know that we are resisting giving and receiving love. When we focus on our pure feelings, unencumbered by beliefs, what expands within and around us is peace, joy and abundance.

18. Expressing Who We Really Are
Each of us has one or more talents we love to express. When we are fully and freely expressing who we really are, we feel joyful and supported. What determines how successful we will be at expressing our talents, is how much love we feel for ourselves. The more love we feel for ourselves, the more we allow the creative energy of the Universe to flow through us. Freely expressing who we are leads us to feel our perfection so that our perfection expands.

19. Means and Ends
Means and ends are the same. The action and outcome are one. To achieve peace, we feel and express our inner peacefulness. To enjoy a life that works perfectly, we see and feel the perfection of everything and everyone, including ourselves. To experience the natural abundance of the Universe, we feel and express gratitude for the abundance all around us.

20. Harmony in Relationships
Every relationship in our lives reflects our relationship with ourselves. Every person we attract is there to support us in opening our hearts and reclaiming our power. When we truly love ourselves and feel the power and perfection that we are, we attract loving, harmonious relationships with others.

21. The Universe Handles the Details
Taking care of the details of our lives is generally considered a rational-mind activity. However, when our rational minds are active, we shut out our Infinite Intelligence, which has the capacity to handle the details in ways that are vastly more supportive of us and everyone else. As we learn to relinquish our rational thinking and surrender to our intuition — our connection to Infinite Intelligence — we discover how easily, effortlessly and spontaneously events unfold for us.

Timeless Wisdom, Evolutionary Vision

As we enter into another year let us make it a truly new year – a new consciousness, one of love and compassion, expressing who we truly are.

Say to yourself: “I am the Light that shines forth from Spirit.  As it lights my path, there is harmony, peace, love, beauty and joy expression toward each person and experience with which I come in contact.

My light shines brightly upon every situation and distributes the joy of Spirit.  Creative ideas flow to me and through me as I acknowledge the goodness of every thought this day, for I am immersed in the goodness of Spirit.

I give with delight and receive with great expectation for the graciousness of all is Spirit expressing, thrilling to Its acceptance in me.

I go forward in great anticipation, accepting all the love and blessings that lie before me this day, this year and always.

Spirit in me knows and expresses truth, freedom, joy, beauty, power and abundance:  Life Itself.  This I accept.  This I know.  I let it be.  And so it is.

God is My All – God is My Life
The entire Universe is Spirit.  Its perfection and wholeness express through all creation.  I am the creation of Spirit; I am One with the One.

As I live in joy, wisdom, and prosperity, I reflect the light and love of Spirit in my world.  Since God is right where I am, it is all I am. I stand in wonder at the abundance in the Universe, blessings the innumerable ways it comes to my attention and choosing to stay awake to all of them.  My consciousness, which is one with God, assures me peace and happiness are always mine.  I am healthy, wealthy and wise by Divine birthright.

I give thanks for my wonderful life and feel an abundance of gratitude as the Universe responds to me.  In joy, I release my word, knowing the Law of Spirit says yes.  It is done. And so it is.  Amen.

I Know Love

Knowing there is only One Power in the Universe, I relax into this moment.  Connecting with all there is, I sense the rhythm of this amazing life.  Immersed in oneness I find peace.

I feel the love in and around me in this oneness, this absolute perfection.  I know right here and now, all is right with my world.  Love leads the way, and I step in confidence, knowing everything is already provided.  I am beauty, I am peace, I am love, I am success, and I am health.  Life continues to unfold in love and in brilliance each and every step, each and every moment.  How good it is.

In this knowing I am deeply grateful.  I am blessed and so loved.  I release my word to the Universal Law, knowing it is already so.  And so it is.  Amen

I Find Wisdom in Silence

One Power and Presence-God is all there is.  This power is always operating; it is creative and available to me.  Knowing this, I go within and consciously connect with that wisdom.

In the quiet, peaceful silence, I listen to the voice within.  As I listen to my intuition, I am guided to claim my power and the courage to choose a life path that is empowering, uplifting, and joyful.  Every moment is a blessed opportunity for me to participate with greater intention and more passion.  I see beauty, joy, and possibility wherever I go.  I step into this new day revitalized and harmonious. I am one with the One.  With self-confidence and self-reliance, knowing my faith produces my desire, I declare I am a successful, healthy, and prosperous being attracting all I desire to me.

I give thanks for the blessings and the grace surrounding me.  I release my word to the Infinite heart of God.  It is done. And so it is. Amen

The Feelings Exercise by Arnold Patent

There is a simple exercise that can assist us in quieting our minds and reconnecting to our feelings and to the power that resides in them.  I call it the Feeling Exercise, and I suggest you take a moment now to go through the three steps of the exercise.

Directions:
Close your eyes and scan your body. Notice how you are feeling.  Then:

1. Feel the feeling free of any thoughts you have about it.  Feel the energy, and the power, in the feeling.
2. Feel love for the feeling just the way it is.  Feel love for the power in the feeling.
3. Feel love for yourself feeling the feeling and feeling the power to the feeling.

All feelings are simply vibrations of energy. Unencumbered by labels, evaluations and judgements.  They are the source of a beautiful variety of loving feelings as well as ultimate knowledge and unlimited power.  As we rediscover and appreciate the depth and range of our feelings, we come to trust our feelings to guide us, and as we do, we experience the inherent perfection of the Universe.

Spirit Directs My Path
There is One Ultimate Reality.  It is pure goodness, Spirit acting through Law to create all that is good and real in my life.  I am one with this Loving heart of Spirit.

Immersed in the Perfect Mind of God, I draw upon It now and allow Its wisdom to guide my word of Truth.  I raise my voice in prayer, my path is illumined by Spirit’s light, which always shines.  The Law makes it manifest in my experience.  I am lifted and blessed as the love of Spirit shows me the way. I open my consciousness to Divine ideas as the natural conditions of my life.  I let go of any belief in negativity and always expect the best.  I am not disappointed.  This is the Mind of God in action and I stand in awe and reverence as It acts for me now.  Spirit shows me the way forward.

With a grateful heart, I release my word to Divine Law.  This is the Truth that sets me free, and so it is and so it is done.  Amen
